Samsung has announced the launch of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus in India, this Sunday. As it was already reported earlier regarding, revealing company’s next-gen flagship smartphone in the country, at Mobile World Congress 2018. Well, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 plus both the phones did well last year after its launch.

However, the pricing of Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus starts at Rs. 57,900 and Rs. 65,900 for 64GB variants, and Rs 64,900 and Rs 72,900 for 256GB respectively. Moreover, Vodafone users will get free Netflix subscription for one year in case they are buying these phones, provided this will be applicable from 16th March onwards, and available at Flipkart, Airtel Store and Samsung India Store.

Well, coming back to features, fingerprint sensor has been now placed below the camera lens for S9 and S9 Plus, as it was for A8+. To avoid the criticism received for S8 and S8+ for placing the fingerprint sensor at the awkward position. The camera of S9 and S9 Plus, has come up with a software that can adjust its aperture as per the ambient lights. To be specific, in bright surrounding the camera can switch to f/2.4 aperture and goes down to f/1.5, giving better quality image in low as well as bright light. In addition, S9 has only one camera whereas S9 Plus has extra wide-angle camera on the rear along with many other features for the first time in the Galaxy series.

Moreover, Samsung have improved its display quality, with bigger display as compared to other smartphone. Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus have 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch displays, that is slightly bigger than its 18:9 display. Additionally, the display of Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus has been made thicker by 20% as compared to Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.

Further, Samsung has copied the Apple’s Animoji feature, it captures your face in an avatar or creature, as well you can record and send some stupid facial expressions. Moving on, these phones have come up with new set of specifications, both support hybrid dual-SIM with 400GB micro SD card.

Moreover, new colour have been introduced by Samsung that is Lilac purple. In India, these phones are available in three colours such as Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, and Midnight Black. Well, adding here the Coral Blue and Lilac Purple will be available with 64GB variant whereas Midnight Black will be available with 256GB variant.
