I think almost everyone knows that you should wash your hands before eating or after using the washroom. Obviously, this has been taught to us right from the childhood.
Yet, there are many of them out there, who avoid washing their hands after going to the bathroom, maybe they never felt sick for not doing so., or maybe laziness there is end number of reasons to cover up this excuse. But, did you ever know what is the major sickness that follows us for not washing our hands, especially after using the washroom.
Did you actually know the fact behind, not washing your hands? Alright, I got some interesting news for you.
Norovirus, ever heard about this? No, well as per the new study this norovirus is a highly contagious virus, that has a major impact on people’s health. The only way to get rid of this is” wash your hands” Sounds weird right….!
However, Norovirus is a common cause of gastroenteritis, well the global rating would be approx. 1 in 5 cases if asked. While the symptoms are characterized by vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea. As we discussed above, this is a highly contagious virus and can be infected even with a single particle, if compared it requires 50 to 100 particles in case of the flu virus to infect human.
This virus split through a crowded place, classrooms, hospitals, cruise ships, where most of them eat, sit, share one or the other activities in that particular space.
While, in some countries where there a good health-care system, hardly three days the patient has to face this miserable virus but slowly it starts recovering. Whereas, in developing countries elderly as well as young children this prediction can turn out ugly. To be more informative, an estimate of 50,000 children every year, below age 5 die due to norovirus, this is mostly in countries where income is low.
Further, Sherry Tower researcher was quite inquisitive to know about norovirus as she when through this illness. Well, she assumes that this was because she used the bathroom where someone had already barfed and that it was not cleaned properly, but appeared to be cleaned.
These virus spreads, even after washing your hands thoroughly, as you engage yourself in some of the other activities such as shaking hands and then touch the same hands to your body.
